SISA’s Director of coaching would like to introduce you to FUTSAL
TRAIN AND PLAY LIKE THE YOUTH OF BRAZIL
· Futsal rewards the same basic skills, tactics and knowledge of the game as outdoor Soccer
· In a statistical study comparing Futsal to other types of soccer, players touch the ball 210% more often
· With limited space, an out of bounds and constant opponent pressure, improved ball control skills and technique are required
· With a 4 second restart rule players learn to play and think fast, increasing player awareness
· Teamwork is always required as players must make supporting runs when their teammates have the ball
· Action is continuous so players are forced to continue playing instead of stopping and watching
· Futsal’s Laws of the Game, encourage playing a skilled game by punishing most physical contact fouls
· Players enjoy the challenge of playing a fast-paced-fun-skill-oriented game that will test their abilities
Differences between Soccer and Futsal is that it’s played in doors on a basketball court surface using a size 4 ball that has 30% LESS BOUNCE THAN A NORMAL BALL. This is so the ball is on the surface more. Another big difference is the ball is kicked in to play instead of using throw-ins.
